Hi, I’m Matt
Thank you for coming this far and for reading this. I became a therapist because I know how much therapy can help. I know the positive effect it can have on how you feel and how it can improve your life, because it has done exactly that for me. And not just me. It has helped many of those closest to me get through tough times and feel better about themselves. I have also seen how therapy has helped my clients.
This is a second career for me. I spent most of a decade in a career that was a bad fit, hating almost every minute of it, hoping that it would get better, that I would grow to love it. Eventually my dissatisfaction and lack of fulfillment in my career poisoned every other aspect of my life, driving me to a very dark and scary place.
Therapy helped me get out of that place and realize that a change needed to be made. It helped me understand and accept myself as I was, and helped me discover what was really important to me.
I have been in that dark place and I know how hopeless it can all seem - but I know that there’s a way out. That no matter how dark it seems, there is hope. For everyone. Always.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I graduated from Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program. Before that, I collected degrees, trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I have a Masters Degree in Gastrointestinal Sciences from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Education from Western University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Waterloo. I also won first prize in the cornbread muffin category at the 2025 New Hamburg Fall Fair! The key is butter.
If you’re ready to work towards creating the life you want, I’m here to help and support you.
