Relationships
Having good, meaningful relationships is a really important part of having a good, fulfilling life. People in a relationship tend to live longer. Relationships teach us about ourselves and push us to be better. The highs of life are higher and the lows a little less low when we can share them with others. But damn it, they can be a lot of work.
No relationship is perfect, because they’re made up of people, and no person is perfect. Which means there’s going to be friction and fights at times. Relationships happen in the world, and the world isn’t perfect either, so sometimes situations are going to conspire to make our relationships harder as well. Navigating all of this, as an individual in a relationship, or as a couple, can be really difficult, and that’s where talking to a therapist can be helpful.
If you’re a couple and you want to work towards strengthening your partnership, come talk to me. We’ll explore your relationship, figure out what’s important, and determine ways to ensure that the relationship is fulfilling for you both. Also, you’re going to fight sometimes, so you may as well learn to fight well. I can help you with that, too. Our work will be respectful, emotionally focused, and safe, for both of you.
If you’re an individual in a relationship, and want to work on your own triggers, your own insecurities, and anything else that may be affecting that relationship, come talk to me too. I can help you handle the ups and downs of your partnership, and help you become the person you want to be in that relationship.
