Anxiety

Like most things in life, anxiety is a double-edged sword. We have it for a reason: it makes sure that we pay attention to the future. If I don’t save enough food in the summer, I’m going to starve come winter. If I don’t study for that test, I’m going to fail the course. If I don’t finish this website, I’m never going to get any clients.

Anxiety is important. It’s good that we have it. But sometimes it starts being applied to everything and every situation, and then it goes from being a good thing to something else. Something terrible and debilitating. Something that gets in the way of us living our lives. That’s the other edge of the sword, the edge that hurts you, [hurts you?], rather than serves you.

Therapy can help. If anxiety is getting in the way of you living the life you want, come talk to me. We will discuss the root causes of your anxiety, how it’s hurting you, and how to get it to back off a bit. We can help your anxiety realize that not everything’s a nail it has to hammer. We can get you some relief, and make it easier to do the stuff you want to do.

If you want to book a free, 15-30 minute long consultation, or maybe even jump right in and book a first session, click the button below.

Please note: I do not prescribe medication. So, if you want to try an anti-anxiety medication, that’s great, but you’re going to have to talk to your doctor. But still come talk to me, too. Therapy and meds together are a lot more effective than meds alone.
